I'll leave that "guilt" to the next owner. I want a V8 car and I just can't bring myself to changing the originality of this car. This is not a show piece but looks really nice & I've only driven this about 200 miles since buying it back in the late Spring this year (2012). I'm sure that there is other things I forgot to mention. The vinyl top is from Kee Auto Tops.Īll electrical wiring is in tact and has never been cut on.Įverything works on this car & this has always been a non-smokers car. The auto trans shifts nice and the engine runs great and makes that slight ticking solid lifter sound that comes from the slanties.īoth bumpers have been replated by Tri-City Plating, but not the bumper guards. The previous owner installed a new gas tank & sender.īrakes are like new and stop like they are power brakes, but are manual drum. Original whitewall spare is still in the trunk, but has been used. Has 4 new 205/70-14 Hankook tires and freshly painted rallies. Under the hood needs detailing as it is in original condition. I know for a fact that this is the original paint on the car. I have the paint code mix if needed.Ībout the original paint.According to the build sheets I found, it calls for code GY4 Gold, but was painted a Y2 Sun Fire Yellow. I used K2 Epoxy Primer & PPG base with clear coat. The outside original paint had faded & a few chips and dings and so that is why the respray. I wanted to keep as much of the original paint as possible. When I painted this, I only did the exterior & under the hood as the door jams & trunk area were still in good shape. I switch over to a Pertronix II ignition. I even have the original spark plug wires & cap. This still has the original belts, hoses etc. I have replaced the heater box and heater core. Even the torsion bar boots are intact and soft. Other than that, I found no other rust through places.Īll the glass is good & even all the original rubber weather stripping through out is still pliable. There is still one rust hole that I located, and it is on the inside of the trunk lid as shown in the picture. The back floors & trunk areas are good as is the frame rails and no work needs to be done. I didn't use repo pans, just metal pieces welded in place. Replaced lower front left fender with metal patch, repaired the front right & left front floor pans with metal. The following is what was done before painting. This could use a new exhaust system as it is original, but it is still intact. This comes with 2 complete built sheets & original smog & owner manuals. No A/C & the engine is a 225 slant six with 1 barrel carburetor. The AM/FM factory radio is not original to the car, but I have the original that came with the car. I installed reproduction fender wheel well trim. Also has bumper guards, AM/FM Radio, 3 speed wipers with electric washers, 3speed heater, & more. There is a 1/2" vinyl split on the top corner of the drivers seat and a 1/2" crack on the very left side of the dash pad.Ĭar is optioned with light package including lighted cigarette ash tray, ignition key light, trunk light, map light & fender signal lights. The interior is all original, (except for new carpet) and is all numbers matching. This is a 37xxx original mile, unmolested Dodge Dart Swinger that has had just 1 recent respray, & new vinyl top installed.Ĭar is registered in Maryland with a clear title.
